I have been a loyal customer for many years and have usually had no complaints.
However, my recent experience of Alpha has been disappointing. My taxis have invariably been late, necessitating phone calls to the office. One time my booking did not appear on their system, although I had received a booking confirmation by text. Some of the female office staff can be quite rude. Most of the drivers are disgruntled because jobs are allocated to them after the scheduled time and they are on the receiving end of customers' complaints.
The recent introduction of an app booking system has apparently caused great unease because such bookings take priority over journeys already booked. It seems that on Sundays, the number of bookings taken does not match the number of available drivers.
The company should urgently reassess its working practices and priorities so that customer service is paramount and can return to its original ethos.

Every time we've used them they've been great. Tommy and his mini bus has definitely given us exemplary service, on a few occasions. Will always use them/him in the future. Texting service so you know exactly where they are, especially on an airport pick up, gives peace of mind.

The service I've received has been consistent and reliable. They automatically text you when your vehicle has been dispatched and when it's arrived with details concerning the vehicle such as the colour and make of the car.
I would definitely recommend; especially to those who use taxis/cabs regularly for their loyalty card scheme saving you 50p off of each fare.
