Avoid this architect. A catalogue of disasters. lovely man to meet but the most disorganised person. Wants money up front. He put us in for the wrong planning and then made us pay to resubmit! Once you have paid he is NEVER available and never gets back to you. Took him 12 weeks to do the incorrect drawings and then pretty much that to redraw and then they were still 60cm out! Avoid like the plague. USELESS! Could have done better myself.

All went well until I paid (upfront, more fool me), and then I could rarely get a response. I have never chased a company as hard as I had to chase PSK. It is all charm at the start and then you're dropped.

When trying to find out the status of my planning application I had to call the planning dept myself as I could not get answers from PSK. Their advice, which I should have sought at the start, was that I'd not picked my Architect wisely and should withdraw my application as it stood little/no chance of being passed.

I'll not go through the whole saga here but it was utterly disappointing, frustrating and probably the worst consumer experience I've had.

I have recently engaged PSK as my Architects to take on my 2 storey extension and I have to say that while yes their drawings are basic and minimalist they have been extremely helpful in recommending Builders that can work from them and I would say that "you get what you pay for" and their fee quote was substantially cheaper than all of the other Architects. I would not hesitate in recommending PSK but if you want to pay for full working drawings and details (that is obviously unnecessary for jobs like mine) then fair enough but my extension looks amazing and everyone was really helpful and friendly. I have seen some negative and nasty reviews on the internet and this has prompted to post this as I feel its unfair to only hear one side of the story. My advice would be always email any concerns or questions as their office is only small and I do know how busy they are.

PSK Architects insisted on full up front payment and then failed to deliver services as agreed. Chase-up e-mails, phone calls and texts received no response. The drawings submitted to the council were non-compliant with planning regulations and were deemed invalid. The planning enforcement officer informed us "they would never have been passed". We were subsequently informed that PSK has a poor reputation and were advised to "start again". In summary, we were conned. We are now working with a brilliant Cheltenham architect who does not require up front payment and whose service has only highlighted further the deceit and bad practice of PSK.
