What an horrific company this is. Want a taxi don't book from these,they won't turn up( "We don't have enough drivers) but they've already happily taken your money across the phone. I know you don't have to pay this way but surely if I'm booking the taxi I definitely want it and I want it at the time I booked it for. Not half an hour later because they can't get their finger out. How they stay in business is beyond me with their awful customer services and pathetic excuses for not being on time. 3 times I've booked taxis in the last month or so and 3 times they've not turned up on time. I thought I'd give them a chance,we all make mistakes but this company is a mistake. Oh and just as a finisher my taxi today was booked for 6.45 am,they've just rang me at 7.32 am to tell me they are just leaving Redhill,do I still want a taxi. NO I DON'T or at least not from here. Save your money people go somewhere else.

I had pre-booked a taxi to collect me from Heathrow. Because of snow in Boston, the plane was four hours late but I knew that the Road Runners office would have tracked the flight online and passed details of the delay to the driver. However, the driver claimed that he had received no word from the office (which later turned out to be untrue) and that he had been waiting at the airport for the full hour hours. All the way home he was pressing me to give him more than the usual fare and was constantly coming out with cloying remarks like "You look a kind man, sir". A couple of days later, I visited the Road Runners office and explained what had happened to one of the company's directors. However, no apology was forthcoming and I heard nothing further from the office, despite a promise that I would do so. I had used Road Runners for many years but it may be a long time before I do so again.
