Trade Kitchen Centre Glasgow Reviews

I had my kitchen from this company in a way I was lucky to get it as soon after they have. gone bust Mr Allen Young was the Director .
Yes I got the base units but when it came to the work top that just never showed up
Even though I had paid over £3,00:00 up front to it. I he'd to get a firm just out side Dumfries to make the work tops for me and had to pay again £3,000 plus for it.

I have tried to get my money back by going the the small Claims Court in Glasgow but as the cannot serve the court order as the company has disappeared from Glasgow.

Please DON'T HAVE ANY THING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY. OR THE DIRECTOR
MR ALLEN YOUNG.

We bought a kitchen from this company over a year ago. It was obvious immediately that the cupboards were poor quality with paint peeling off of them so we complained. We contacted the owner multiple times even visiting him in his showroom and at the Ideal home show. We have emailed and telephoned multiple times, so many times that I have lost count but certainly, over 20 telephone calls and follow up emails over 10 times. No calls or emails are ever returned. No follow-up happens.

After a year we finally got Allan to come out and inspect the quality of the cupboards and to discuss the broken cooker hood. He came with his Ops Manager who appeared initially to be more professional. The visit happened because the cooker hood chip blew. It transpired this was because it had been wired in directly with no fuse by the fitters recommended by trade kitchens. Unfortunately, the chip could not just be replaced as the hood and the cover had been glued in with sealer by the installers so the whole thing had to be removed. this pulled tiles off the wall because to was stuck to them by sealer. Allan agreed to pay for the replacement of the hood and to get the manufacturer's to inspect the poor cupboard quality. The hood replacement costs have been refunded but no inspection has even been booked after 9 weeks since the visit. when following up in the past week I have made a total of 9 telephone calls, 6 emails, 4 texts and had no response except to be told to stop calling and texting a personal mobile number.

The worst company it has ever been my misfortune to have had dealings with. Clearly intent on getting onto TV on one of those 'Cowboy Builders' programmes, the list of horrors is almost endless - but let's try: Originally told by the owner the job would take 5-10 days, it started (late) in November and didn't 'finish' until about March; charged £400 extra for works which were in the original quote; flooded daughter's room below kitchen when plumber knocked a cap off a pipe; same plumber did not cap off another pipe properly so it has since had to be isolated. same plumber turned up without essential sink parts - luckily I had some to hand otherwise he would have disappeared again without doing the job; SAME plumber installed waste under sink wrong, so when washing machine or dishwasher was on, sink filled with dirty water and began to smell. Hob packed up within 1 month - manufacturer's repair man called out but wouldn't fix as hob had been glued in contrary to manufacturer's instructions. I called TKC to remove hob. No response. I managed to remove hob myself. Repair man came back - reckoned hob had failed as TKC's electrician had not wired it in properly and arcing had blown circuit board. Manufacturers replaced this. My plumber replaced sink waste pipes so sink now drains and doesn't smell. Ongoing saga over months with owner of TKC refusing to provide breakfast table with quartz worktop to match rest of kitchen, as agreed to and paid for months earlier. Fitters arrived with polythene table top (!). We rejected this and raised small claims action in court plus instructed someone else to provide quartz top table. TKC's solicitor sent flood of unprofessional, intimidating emails stating we had zero chance of success in court. We won case - over £2000 (but not paid yet). Firm that came to provide new quartz topped breakfast table commented existing quartz kitchen worktops appear to have dropped slightly, separated from one another and are not fixed down. TKC now complaining judge's decision was unfair and want to appeal (I'm advised they have no hope of court going for this). I'm also looking at reporting their solicitor to the Law Society for unprofessional conduct and attempting to intimidate us into dropping the case. I WOULD NOT BUY FROM THE TRADE KITCHEN CENTRE.

We found this company at the ideal home show in Glasgow.
What an absolute joke of a company. Read the small print on the contract that states the delivery date of the kitchen is not fixed and can change.
well change it did as my kitchen was ripped out and my joiner was waiting on the delivery of the new one on the agreed date, and after phoning the day before to make sure everything was OK. No kitchen for the next 3 weeks......
Then it was only the inside of the units that arrived.
Another 3 months and there was bits still missing with a lot of bits that don't fit.
During the whole ordeal I never once got a phone call from them to explain why.
I can't say enough for people to stay clear.
