I had a viewing of a top floor flat. I was very concerned about the condition of the night storage heaters. I mentioned to the agent that I might be better off trying to find a top floor flat which had gas central heating instead and was told that builders were not allowed to install gas central heating in top floor flats for safety reasons. I later found out that what she had told me was not true.

I put in an offer for another property and the manager told me the owner had already received a high offer for it but that the buyers had pulled out. He said the sellers therefore already had a taste for an offer very close to the asking price. I had my offer accepted. When I visited the property again with a different agent she said she hadn't had a chance to look at it herself as it went so quickly. I mentioned that another buyer had pulled out and she looked at me blankly.

I'll let you draw your own conclusions from my dealings with this particular branch of Palmer Snell. 12-10-17
