We've used launderettes all over the world whilst travelling. This was our first UK experience for many years. I could not believe the cost! Coins jammied in the industrial sized washing machine. Ejected coins had to be removed with a nail file as they could not be retrieved.
No-one on site to assist on a Saturday morning. We managed to do one large wash of towels but they came out of the machine soaking wet.
Owner argumentative on the emergency phone line.
Surely a token system would have been better - who carries pockfups of pound coins.
Never again will we use Highcliffe launderette.
