Today l found a credit card ; l took it to poole police station, l was not greeted at the window l went to, l was told rather abruptly to go to another window by the lady seated there. l went to the window pointed out; the lady that had just spoken to me came over; l explained that l had found a card in the car park across from Asda by the pub, l did not know the name of the car park, the lady was very abrupt again because l did not have the information she wanted, my parking ticket had no info on it "so how can l" ; she was not happy at this and suggested that l take the card to a police station well l was just speechless. I am 72 years old I do not expect to be spoken at like this; "someone was probably frantically looking for their card" l found it and took it to the police; I understand that the police deal with a lot of unsavory characters; I am not one of them, I was doing the right thing and felt very cross at being treated in such a shabby way. I will think twice about doing this in future.
If the police cannot be bothered perhaps you need to put a notice on the door saying so. 18-05-20
