This morning my partner and I travelled from Marple to Poynton Show. We arrived at approximately 11 am. and joined the queuing traffic to get into the car park. After queuing for about half an hour we reached the car park field, only to be told we couldn't park our car as only 4 x 4's were allowed (due to a small muddy patch)! Assuming alternative parking had been organised elsewhere, we drove down the road and realised that there was nowhere else to park!!!!
After recovering from the initial shock of this extremely unorganised event, we of course decided not to attend the show. I'm sure we were not the only drivers who felt this way after being refused entry! Could a little forethought have avoided this situation, ie park&ride, or an alternative field? Even an information notice - or a helpful assistant would be better than nothing!! Very disappointed and I hope some commonsense is used in future...... 27-08-16
