I agree that Tigh Na Muirn is an absolute disgrace, although it is lovely inside (it should be for the exorbitant prices they charge poor old people to live there) the management are domineering, unresponsive to complaints and there appears to be a general policy of drugging the elderly in their care to keep them quiet. This home is a good example of how not to "care" for our elderly - it is quite simply an absolute disgrace. If you love your elderly relatives do them a favour and keep them well clear from the torment of Tigh Na Muirn!

Tigh Na Muirn is a disgrace. My parents are currently resident there, forcibly separated by Tigh Na Muirn management from my entire family, myself, my wife and my two young children. The reason? We started to complain about the use of anti-depressants at the home on both of my parents. The doctor at Tigh Na Muirn has exhibited a passion for prescribing dangerous SSRI antidepressants to both my parents to their visible injury. Home management certainly do not like to be questioned on this issue. Tigh Na Muirn management, oin banning us from contact with my parents are displaying complete disregard to the law. If you want to be certain your elderly loved ones will be well cared for, best avoid Tigh Na Muirn at all costs.
