Its a difficult time when a much loved relative needs more care than you can provide. On arrival at Pentre House we and most importantly Mum were made to feel welcome and at home. Anne who was in charge on the day was so kind and informative as we hadn't been through anything like this before and the months leading up to Mum's emergency respite care had been harrowing; Ann brought the most relief we'd felt in an age. The Home itself is tucked away and not coming from the area we weren't sure what to expect, it has a lovely view and an interesting garden with squirrels and birds that the residents can feed from the sunny patio. The dining room is light and sunny with huge windows. It has 4 lounges, one of which is set aside for visitors, with tea and coffee; so you can sit with your relative in comfort and privacy. All the staff are friendly from the qualified nurses to the cook and the handyman, they all make you feel welcome and it feels like family. I would recommend Pentre House as a safe and loving place for someone you love.
