sold 1 type of panel by the sales man, then the type and number of panels changed at the survey, more panels ,lower power (old stock to shift)

Unfortunately from start to finish I have had trouble with Solar Power GB Ltd. To start with they screwed up the initial appointment but we go over that. The initial design was wrong and the surveyor who came round compounded that error. They said all panels on one roof, which turned out to be a totally false claim.

They had to reduce their price by £2k to compensate for lost production [they were over priced anyway] but then we had a month's delay producing the paperwork needed to register with the feed in tariff. There was no excuse for this - it was sheer incompetence and they were chased regularly for this. They had no process or initiative on the back office staff to chase the surveyors/installers for missing records and no initiative or co-ordination on the part of the installation manager who seemed to be spending all his time dealing with customer complaints.

When their scaffolders came to dismantle the scaffold they chucked the scaffold knuckles onto the floor causing damage. What sort of workman would you employ to represent your business - it doesn't take a lot of effort to respect somebody's property - but Solar Power let them get away with it and nearly 2 months after providing photographic evidence of the damage which they said they accepted, the absence of payment means we are now heading for the small claims court.
Whilst the panels seem to be working ok and producing electricity, [we had to get them back to align them properly and to trim off the ugly overhangs their fitters left [all done very promptly]] dealing with the incompetence from start to finish of this firm is so irritating. At the end of many phone calls over a month, they asked if I had paid the balance! They knew I had but couldn't find the record!! I filled them in on the details! I have now been asked by another installation manager to provide feedback on their incompetence and I will be copying this review to him in an email to ask what else he needs.

It's not that difficult to provide a quality service if your firm is geared to deliver. I am on the whole, very patient and give everyone more than adequate opportunity to right any wrongs but this firm just cannot deliver despite promise after promise.

So, would I use them again? No I would not. I also dread the day that the installation fails and they are unable to sort it out!
