Ian Oliver & Lee Beattie of A1 Flooring are unprofessional, not to be relied upon or trusted to complete any work on your home with any level of skill or quality.
They will offer you a decent price for your work, taking on jobs that they are not competent or available to complete.
Originally employed to lay a laminate floor and to supply and fit matching beading, they then also stated they had requisite joinery skills, offering to build a flatpack kitchen and to plasterboard walls and ceiling in my house extension.
Having never once turned up on time or worked a full day, constantly disappearing to other jobs, the final straw came when their incompetence caused over £300 of damage to my kitchen worktop and cabinets. I am now having to repurchase materials to complete my project with other tradespeople.
Over 3 weeks later they hadn't completed a single task they were employed for, although I was pressurised to make interim payments where they overstated the amount of work done.
They are always full of excuses of course, but despite promises to make amends and work to put things right, they again returned to other jobs, rushing work on my project purely with the aim of getting paid faster - we have since discovered many areas of their shoddy and rushed workmanship.
The flooring - their alleged speciality - remains incomplete and they never delivered the beading that was paid for.
In summary a real pair of cowboys, absolute timewasters and not to be trusted.
